The jester, bounty hunter, death master and barbarian are in my view playable and moderately balanced. Our campaign from 96-99 was almost completely using those classes, so I have seen many of them in game play. I am a powergamer at heart, so take my critiques of the Dragon classes with a massive grain of salt. It is definately a worthwhile project, espeically with some actual 'gametesting' notes - and perhaps other DFers could contribute as well. Assuming I get it done and it is a worthwhile project. Once I get that done I'll post up my thoughts and a summary, etc. PLAYER: No it's my theme.Popedale wrote:I hope to be able to track them all down and take a look to see which would make viable, or at least fun, classes in my game. PLAYER: Not a beastmaster ranger, an *animal* master, it's a theme.ĭM: Did you take the noble scion or noble bred for war background? March: 1 Ritual, 1 Epic Destiny, 1 Divine Boon, 9 Familiars, plus optional henchmen rules. Here is the player content we've received in the last two months in Dragon:Īpril: 6 Ki Foci, 1 Paragon Path, 5 optional powers subject to DM approval. Is it really that unbelievable that someone could have both opinions?Īnd, sorry, but a backdrop article on Nerath and advice article on speeding up combat are really DM content, not new material for players. I am also disappointed that it will be the only player content in this month's issue of Dragon. I think that having Themes will be awesome and I am glad to see them.
